The Department of Classics relies heavily on the generous help of its friends and alumni to support a wide range of teaching and scholarly activities throughout the year. For example, your gift might enable the department to buy a book for the Pillinger Library, send an undergraduate to study in Rome or Athens, or help a graduate student complete a research project. You may also choose to endow a scholarship or a named faculty chair. The opportunities are boundless and the need is great.
While a large gift or an endowment can help to sustain our program for generations to come, a gift of any amount shows your support for the Department's contribution to the liberal arts at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
For answers to your questions about how you can support Classics, please contact the Chair or the Department Administrator (608-241-2041, wbach@wisc.edu).
You may make a gift by sending a check to the Department of Classics, 910 Van Hise Hall, 1220 Linden Drive, Madison, WI 53706. Your check should be made payable to the "University of Wisconsin Foundation".
